The display case of the Afula Station features a collection of coins called mils from the Mandate period. Next to them is an original change dispenser that was used by the conductor. There is also an old Jewish National Fund charity box donated by the family of Baruch Katinka, an engineer on the trains who worked under the Ottomans and the Mandate authorities, and later served in the Haganah.
The Beit Shean Station display case shows items from the coat of the station manager, including buttons with the English letters PR – the initials of Palestine Railways, the Mandate railroad company. There is also a personal whistle and a railroad track stake.
Thank you for giving us your attention. We invite you to take your time looking at the exhibit. To continue the tour, we will meet next to the adjacent water tower.
