Herzl Center
In 1960, the 100th anniversary of Herzl’s birth, a museum was established on Mount Herzl in order to present the enormous influence his activity had had on contemporary Jewish reality. In 2005 the site was renewed and the Herzl Center was built, which provides vast educational activity, tours of Mount Herzl and a fascinating audiovisual display.
What’s at the site: the Herzl Center introduces the visitors to the inspirational image of the Visionary of the State, and the visitors share his daring ambitions, his turbulent personal journey and the challenge that he left in his heritage.
For the general public: a visit to the audiovisual display, guided tours of Mount Herzl on various subjects, such as: Herzl and his family, Herzl’s contemporaries, valour and sacrifice and more, lectures on Zionism and altering exhibitions.
For children: a visit to the audiovisual display, children-tailored tours on Mount Herzl, a variety of educational activities and creative workshops.
