The building opposite you was the first passenger hall and the station workers’ office
The building is not big but is very beautiful
Above the entrance is a triangular decoration
The corners of the building are decorated with special, beautifully shaped stones
The roof shingles were imported from Marseilles, France
The underground basement had a cistern to collect water
When you enter, you will see the opening of the cistern on the floor
One side of the building faces the tracks, while the other side faces the station yard
Today, the building houses interesting objects and photographs
from which we can learn a lot about the Valley Train
Before you go in, look at two interesting things
One – the wheels. These are wheels from the Valley Train
Two – a railroad switch
The switch was used to stop the train when it reached the station
You’re welcome to enter the building and watch the video in the room to the right
The site’s staff will play the video for you
