The Joe Alon Center will host a powerful evening of personal stories from October 7 and the months that followed.
We will hear from:
🔹 Hamid Abu Arar –
One of the many heartbreaking stories from that day. Hamid witnessed the murder of his wife Fatma z”l at the Sha’ar HaNegev junction. Despite the trauma, he managed to save his young son and prevent a deadly ambush against IDF soldiers.
🔹 Wahid El-Huzayel, Lt. Col. (Res.) –
Former director of the Forum for Victims in the Bedouin community. Since October 7, he has been at the forefront of efforts to support affected families. Under his leadership, the forum has provided legal, psychological, and financial aid, and worked to advance legislation in support of victims and their families.
This gathering will share moving and difficult stories of survival, resilience, and the ongoing journey of rebuilding life.
